Hay Day Review

You know, I’ve constantly wondered: Would numerous of the people who love playing farming sims enjoy actual farmwork? perhaps not everyone has the diligence to wake up at the crack of dawn to milk the cows and till the fields, but that’s what videogames like Hay Day are for. And in Hay Day, you’ll be treated to one of the prettiest farming sims to date.

The backstory is basic: You’ve been left a trmendous farm to tend to. You’ll raise animals like chickens, cows, and sheep, and you’ll grow and harvest crops like wheat and corn. You’ll additionally have to juggle to myriad of activities that goes into sustaining a grade-A ranch. Your critters must be fed and your silo must be painted, for example. from time to time visitors from town or other farms will swing by, selling you activities or cash for your ware, like eggs or bread.

The largest strength I notice is the graphics. wealthy, beautiful detailed, with landscapes and zoom and pan, Hay Day’s presentation is fairly cinematic for a mobile game. It’s eye sweet. The controls are additionally smooth, nonintrusive, and use the iPhone’s touch screen well. For example, just tap on a plot of land, then run your finger across the area to gather the grown crops. You’ll use the same gestural controls to pile up sellable products your animals will yield, like wool or milk. You’re additionally able to visit your friends’ farms via Facebook.

Replay value comes in the type of achievements. easily click on your house to view each and every one of the achievements you’ve unlocked so far: gather several hundred eggs for Egghead, for example, or get plenty of milk from your cows for Got Milk? As far as item collection goes, you’ll have to wait in real-time before your farm’s products are prepared to be accumulated and sold. It may take a couple of minutes for wheat to grow, or a half hour for cows to generate milk. You can accelerate the process by utilizing diamonds, of which you have limited quantity, but can obtain more during the game.

Really, there’s nothing to complain about here, except everything feels quite familiar. With FarmVille and its ilk, the social farming sim has been shoved down our throats for years, and Hay Day doesn’t introduce whatever exceptionally revolutionary to revitalize or rethink the genre. It’s additionally a bit annoying how the tutorial maintains your hand for the first 15 to 20 minutes of gameplay. “Now let’s gather the eggs.” “Now let’s create the steady.” It’s not a gripe with this particular game, per se, just a gripe with numerous sims in common. maybe games should stagger out the directions by introducing challenges that players can dwell on before a new gameplay element or method is added.

One differentiating trait is the commerce element among players. Real people can post ads in the newspaper so that sell their goods to other players. It’s a Neopoets-like system that connects players and their shops, which adds a social element the game doesn’t have otherwise. There are also personal computer characters that periodically arrive on your farm who will need to purchase or sell goods.

Overall, this game is a gem and a steal for being accesible in the App Store without charge. If you’re a fan of simulation games, Hay Day is visually pleasing and will absolutely keep your inner agriculturalist giddy for hours

First: What do u need at a 2 day horse show?

Second: What to wear at a hunter show and jumper show?

third: what does my horse “wear” for both divisions?

I have been riding for about ten years now, and my parents have finally agreed to let me have my own horse. I am well aware of the care involved, I’ve been working at my local stable for a couple of years now. But I am confused by all the clips, feeds, tack, routines ect you can possibly choose from! If I got a horse, it would only be something to potter about on, the odd hack, and county show every now and then, so help!

well i would like to keep my horse out all day and night but land may be a problem?so if i left it out all day and put it in at night.my field is about half an acre and i have another field about three quarters of an acre.i would be having the horse on the half acre but if i was really stuck i could use the other field but the bigger field isnt mine it is a relatives so i may not always be able to take it there. i am also thinking about building a small jumping/excersise ring and i would be taking it out in it and on hacks most days so plenty of excersize. basicly my question is how much hay should i feed it and how long should i turn it out? by the way i live in ireland so ground can get wet in winter months but im thinking of permenantly stableing in winter and taking out for excersize in the ring that i will hopefully get fingers crossed thanks for your answer theyre realy helpful but i was just wondering how long should i turn it out because i only have a half acre :(

What’s the difference, besides their obvious appearance and texture? What’s the difference in nutritional value?

I’ve never had migraines before, but from what people have told me, this doesn’t seem similar. This pain comes from the back of my head, goes right up and over towards my right eye. It wakes me at night or I can’t sleep from it. I’ve been taking Advil Liqui-Gels and they help, but I can tell when the medicine is gone because the pain comes right back. This has been going on for about 5 days.

My horse is an 8 year old 16hh Irish Sports Horse gelding. I’ve only ever owned ponies although I have ridden horses and he is quite a ‘pony horse’. He’s very very forward going – its just his personality. Being lead everywhere he marches off, on hacks he’s very bouncy and forward and schooling and jumping he’ll just whizz off. Being tied up he’ll move around constantly. When he gets ‘on one’ he’s almost unreachable in this mindset and you can’t do anything with him! I don’t want just to put him on calmers as it seems like its just hiding the problem instead of solving it.. I don’t mind a bit of fizz but sometimes he’s very tense and a bit crazy, although he’ll settle but fizz right up again for no reason. He gets quite attached to other horses and when they leave him he screams and screams, and as our arena is quite close to the field he won’t work and is very silly because he can see all his friends. I don’t really want to send him away to a trainer as I’m not sure it will help me and him as a partnership and he’s such a nice horse in some ways he’s just so highly strung! He’s only in a NS hanging cheek snaffle as I don’t like having to hold horses back in huge bits that they don’t need, and he’s not strong he’s just very very fizzy. He is fed on a handful of HiFi, Bailey’s cubes and a big double-netted hay net, and goes out every day (although as I’m moving yards soon he won’t be able to have every day turnout!!! eek!). Especially when being led back from the field he can be quite rude and just doesn’t really care that im there, just marches back neighing all the time then once in his stable throws his head up and rushes round whilst I’m in there. There’s something about him that I really like, and although sometimes I wish I had a quiet horse instead this is the next step for me – i’ve had schoolmasters, I’ve had competition ponies, this is what I need to do next to keep improving. Tips please? Thankyou :-)

I am planning to get a pony, welsh section D preferably. It will be in a field and have grass at all times. It will be ridden 2 times or more a week. I will use it for hacking out, jumping, and maybe a few competitions. I was planning to feed it this once a day: 1 scoop bran 1 scoop alfa half scoop oat nuts 1 scoop garlic powder 2 squirts cider vinegar 1 scoops codlivine.

Do I need to feed this once or twice a day, even though it will be in a field? And in winter, it will still be outside, but will I need to feed extra e.g. Hay, more feed?

PLease Help, very confused. And I really neeed to sort this out if I have any chance of getting a pony. :) thanks

I am in the UK!! So please use pounds or kg! I don’t understand cups lol

I have a mammoth donkey Jenny in the UK and she struggles to maintain condition. I keep her up to date wormed ect everyone I ask in the UK says feed her straw and that’s it but she isn’t a small donkey she is a mammoth and requires waaay more than a normal donkey so I’ve been giving her hay only and am now toying with a horse conditioner to bring her up a bit. We go hacking for miles so she is in work. I’ve been feeding a hay amount if 7kg because she is a little bony and feeding by the height guidelines (horse) she is 14.2 HH but I know this is too much for a donkey so would like to know how much a mammoth donkey needs a day to eat. How much hay a day? How much feed a day?

(She has 3 days on grazing a 4 days on hard standing to keep her feet out of the wet and to stop too much grass intake)

He looked thin and could do with putting some weight on what should I be feeding him? I am only doing light hacking with him and dont want a feed that is going to make him fizz up as on the horse and pony nuts he is very calm. He also has a plentiful supply of good grass hay and grazing through the day.

1st- i no there are probably a lot of q’s about this but please just help me!! ok, so i’ve searched ALL over the internet & i absolutely positively cannot find a place to download/get/obtain the hay day hack tool that works without surveys or offers. I downloaded or found countless hay day hack tools but they ALWAYS come to the point where you have 2 complete an offer or survey. usually i download the tool, open it, enter the info i want, click start hack, then a message comes up saying the tool is needs an update so i go 2 update & its yet again another survey. OR i download the tool & i need a password & 2 get a password i need 2 complete a survey. I am so sick of this because i already tried completing the surveys a couple of times & it NEVER unlocked the download. I am getting so frustrated with this, all i want is the hay day hack tool. can someone please give a link or place or something where i can download this tool WITHOUT surveys!!!! i get tired of always coming up to the point where i have to complete the surveys because they NEVER work, they are scams!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, I WILL GIVE 10 POINTS 2 THE BEST ANSWER THAT DOES GIVE ME A PLACE TO DOWNLOAD OR GET WITHOUT SURVEYS AT ANY POINT!!!! ok i figured it was a scam, i scanned my computer earlier 4 malware (not sure how to spell) viruses or any other harmful things 2 my computer & removed them!! & i stopped doing the offer thing, since i read up that those surveys caused damage 2 ur computer!! i tried that website, i had 2 refer people which i tried but it only showed i referred 6 people but i needed 8 in order 2 unlock the download. I tried all the links in order 2 share but it wouldn’t show up as anything other than 6…..

I’ve been told those mess your computer up.. I just want to be able to download the software (or whatever is it) and get my diamonds and coins. I have come up with a winter stable routine for an assignment for college and I have no clue on whether everything is in a sensible order. Also I need to include timings and how long each activity will take, so any suggestions will be helpful. Here is the routine: Get to stables Feed horses in stables Change rugs, pick out feet and brush over horse Turn out and check field water for ice Muck out and refill stable water Fill hay net and make afternoon feed Sweep and tidy the yard Lunch break? Bring horse in and hose off legs if muddy If riding; quick groom, tack up and ride If not riding; groom thoroughly Put horse in stable and give feed Poo pick field Clean tack Make morning feed Check horses Leave stables.

I never know the rights from wrongs of what to do when my horse has either just been lunged or just came back from a ride!

Today it was raining buckets whilst I was lunging and then I rode so when I got back she was drenched so I put her in the stable for 10 mins to dry a little which didn’t make a difference. It’s impossible to dry her fully, it wasn’t sweat as we only walked on our hack but it was rain.. When I turned her back out again I didn’t put her lightweight on as I didn’t know if it would be a good idea to rug her when wet? also of an evening when I lunge and then she’s put to bed straight after, is it ok to put her fleece on when she’s still quite wet even though i’ve sweatscraped her the best I can?

Also one more thing. I’m a new horse owner as you can probably tell. I’m aiming to lunge every evening, or every other if not, but I do it just as i’ve got my horse in. Would I feed and then lunge? or lunge and then feed. i’ve heard you have to wait a certain amount of time before you feed after a workout even though I only ever make her walk and trot for 20 or so minutes. But I don’t have the time of an evening to wait around for precisely however long before I can feed her.

I bring her in from the field around 4:30/5pm, tack her up, take her in the jumping paddock to lunge, ideally i’d like to bring her in, put her in the stable where she’ll have a full net of hay and go make her feed straight after. is this ok?..

Thanks. The fleece is a standard one, not one that wicks away sweat or moisture.

So I’m getting a bit concerned about my boy’s ever-increasing weight, and I’m considering editing his feed. At the moment he gets two handfuls of chaff, a small handful of oat mix, some cut up apple or carrot and a vitamin supplement once a day. The supplement is vets orders, so I can’t take that out of his feed. He gets some form of exercise every day without fail, sometimes light work but mostly medium work such as jumping, lateral dressage and hacking on hills. I’d like his energy levels to stay the same perhaps a little less. He is a heavy 14.3, cob six years old and naturally energetic. I also don’t want to spend ridiculous money on a brand feed, I just get the basics (eg. NORMAL chaff NORMAL sugar-beet, NORMAL pony nuts)…none of that ‘low-cal’ or ‘a mix for good-doers’ crap with a fancy label.

So back to the point of my question…does anyone have a mix of feed that they would recommend? A lot of people have already made a point about his oats. Very sorry, I probably should have mentioned this: the oats have been suggested by my vet to go with the supplement. He isn’t getting enough for them to make a serious impact on his weight or energy levels, as they are in a mix and he gets a small handful of that mix.

I’m helping to excercise a lady’s rather fat cob (he’s about 15 hh), because she has no time to ride him and I have plenty. I was wondering if anyone could tell me some good ways to get him a little slimmer. I have regular access to the beach and other legal hacking sites, there is also a quite small schooling field. I’m not really looking for any advice on dietary changes, but good ways that could help him to lose the weight.

His teeth are good, he’s dewormed every four months, he’s fed 2 grain 2 fat & fibre every day along with unlimited hay and unlimited water, been that way since last April. The rest of the horses look the same as him. I just don’t really understand… He’s only ridden once a week for hacking. What can I do to help him? He’s a 15.2hh appendix quarter horse gelding, 8 years old and currently weighs 860 pounds.

(I board him, he’s not on my property), here’s a photo. Sorry it’s basically just a silouhette.

Any advice is very helpful, thank you in advance.

I’ve never really jumped on the wagon, so this is coming from someone that is more often the voice in the wilderness, advocating books that were printed years ago and are long past their hay day. So tell me how is it? How is it reading Twilight, Harry Potter, or Mao’s little red book?

Hi, I am just wondering if anyone can give me any tips on what to feed my recently purchased ex-racer? Hes really fit and very ribby and needs to fill out everywhere!

He is going to be in medium work over winter ridden most days just general schooling, hacking and maybe a local competition couple of times a month.

He has been on conditioning cubes, speedi beet and alfa a for about a month now (before he belonged to me), unsure what he was on before that.

He has quite a calm temperament and I would like it to stay this way!

    Any advice appreciated :)

I have a gaited Tennessee Walker Gelding. He is massive!. I’m not sure exactly how tall he is but it isn’t less than 16 hands. Right now he is overweight and I have been working him regularly. When we ride, he stumbles a lot. I tried to trot poles and even when they are on the ground, he still knocks them. Is he being lazy? How do I get him to be a little more sure footed. He used to jump but I tried once and he just blew right through the fence. i know he isn’t in pain because he walks fine and has no feet issues. What to do?

**Also, anyone know of any good exercises for him. He is pretty heavy and all that fat needs to become muscle. Since it is summer, he gets very, very little grain and only a flake or so of hay in the morning. The rest of the day he is out in the field. Every day I ride him for a little more than an hour and we walk a lot then I work his run-walk for a bit and then I canter for a good bit. It works his legs but he has a huge barrel. What can fix all this?

I think I will be going to some jumping shows and the next one is in Late May. I want to know from some professional show people or experienced show people what exercises you do with your horse. Also, for jumping shows what kind of clipping do you do? What about neck muscles?

My new mare is a 3/4 bred eventer type, who owned her previously was hunting her 3 days per week – but seems to have forgotten to feed her ? she is very ribby / hippy and needs to put about 150lbs on ! I have been giving her corn oil – she has a lovely shiney coat but it does not seem to be putting weight on her ! she is healthy and ulcer free, she also passed vetting – what is the best feed regime to put weight in her ???? thanks in advance.

she has access to good quality hay constantly as well as turnout and she gets the following twice daily:

x2 scoops cool ‘n’ condition muesli x1 scoop beet pulp x1/2 cup corn oil she had wormer put straight into her stomach with a tube by the vet (i do this with all my new horses), her teeth have just been done also – I’ll try the alfalfa Genel I’m fairly sure the top equine veterinary hospital in Ireland know what their talking about – the passed her vetting / blood / stool everything – she had everything checked & done including her back and teeth so it is absolutely just neglect on the previous owners part – she is taking forever to gain the weight & I can’t compete her in her current condition even tough everything else is 100% perfect & ready to go ! basically I need her to gain fast as the spring hunter trial season & eventing Ireland are just kicking off !

my pony roosevelt is an eleven year old bay welsh cross who is 14 hands. he gets an hour and a half of turnout (its not very big) with minimal grass each day. a lot of the horses at my barn have ulcers and he has showed signs of ulcers before but i dont know for sure if he has them. he also has fungus on his back legs and lower butt which most of the horses do. he is my hunter pony and has two 1 hour lessons each week with four light hacks and a day off. if anyone has any supplements in mind that i could use please let me know (i prefer smartpak but i will try anything) also keep in mind i am 13 and am paying for this myself so the cheaper the better!

I bought my horse a year and a half ago and he was very very thin with no muscle. He has come a long way but now he has this big hay belly. We have 2 horses, one with a big hay belly and one with an ideal belly size and they both eat the same hay and the same quantity. We are feeding 1st cut hay and we always have since we brought our horses home around 3 months ago. They hay is nice and green though and smells very fresh. We haven’t had the option of second cut hay but if we did we would buy it. I read that first cut hay can cause hay belly but since I don’t have access to a second cut at the moment I’m not sure what to do. I started working him more starting this monday and we lunge every day for 20 minutes and do a lot of trotting. We ride once in a while but not very often. He gets a little less than 3/4 a bale of hay a day and has a decent size grass paddock to pick on throughout the day as well. He gets half his hay in the am which lasts him most of the day as he rotates from grass to hay throughout the day. He then gets the rest of his hay around 6pm with his dinner and that lasts him most of the night. He is stalled at night, he comes in at 6pm for his dinner and at 7am he gets his breakfast and is turned out at 8am once he is done eating and gets his hay outside. He gets 2qts of charger and 1qt of trotter twice a day. He is up to date on his wormers. So what can I do for him? How can I get him to lose the hay belly? I was looking at Smartpaks SmartDigest supplement and I was wondering if that could help him digest his hay better? What do you think I should do? How can he lose the belly?

What do the different types of hay do?? Why are some types like alfalfa so much more expensive than hays like straw or grass?

My 14.3 welsh x appy is a good doer, she’s a bit on the fat side but I’m not worried as such considering we’re coming into winter and the grass will soon be none and void! (England)

So, she’s ridden 3 times a week for definite and sometimes 4 times, she hacks and schools with a bit if jumping too but it’s not heavy work, only ever for 30/40 mins per ride and it’s normally walk and trot with a tiny bit of canter. She’s probably so fat now because when I first got her 3 months ago she wasn’t ridden up until the start of December, so she probably will fitten up!

She has: Just short of a scoop of the apple flavoured hifi chaff for breakfast, a small handful of pony nuts mixed and watered.

For dinner she has a scoop of chaff again with the nuts and I slice a carrot or two in there daily and once a week she gets a apple in with it aswell. Shes turned Out at 6am and in at 5pm for dinner and hay which is a medium size net full.

What else can I add in the feed besides the carrots she has every dinner to make it more interesting? I heard slice raw parsnip like you would a carrot but can you do that daily? What about banana? Something that has a reasonable sugar/fat content so it can be added to each feed. A list would be appreciated! Would it make more sense to add the veg/fruit into her breakfast rather than dinner so she has the energy for when she’s ridden in the day(she can be lazy) I’m a first time horse owner so I just want to do everything right.

    Thanks for any answers!!:)

I have never owned goats before and don’t know much about them, but I recently moved in with someone who has seven of them. They have a big pasture to graze in. Whenever I go to see them, which is usually every day, I get a clump of hay and divide it into three piles and give it to them. Is it bad that I give them hay every day?

I am getting a beautiful 15hh cob on saturday, and I wondered how many times a day does he need feeding? He will be out during the day, and will have a hay net in his stables for the nights. Also he is been fed on mix and carrots, we are using him for light hack only. Of course I will ask his old owner when w ego to pick him up, but I need to know how much to buy.

    Thanks

I may be getting a horse soon and would like to know things i would need to look after the horse such as rugs, tack, boots, first aid kits etc.

Also if you can, could you include an average price (in pounds £) for each of these things?

for example : Lead Rope £1-10
    Halter £5-50

    thanks so much!

Also an average monthly and yearly cost of keeping a 16hh horse would be much appreciated!

My friend get an OTTB and it turned out to be a disaster. She got the horse for free and didn’t have a vet examination (stupidest thing ever). Anyway, the horse she got just kept getting lame on and off for months until she eventually gave him away (he is retired, living in a nice pasture now, and being well taken care of). She had little patience and went about it in a very idiotic way and now her and her mother are on a warpath trying to convince me not to get a horse off the track because of their one bad experience (that was their fault). Anyway, I’ve heard that ottbs can very easily become lame if not given a proper break after their time at the track. Is this true? Also, how long does a horse normally need to recover? I am thinking of buying an ottb (one that only had a few starts, or even better, none at all). So, for a horse that had less then 5 starts on the track, how long should he need off before being retrained?

I am thinking about getting an ottb and boarding it at a small barn with a nice pasture and doing only ground work and trust building stuff for a few months before I take him to my show barn and start having my trainer and I slowly start to work with him. I really love Thoroughbreds and I’d really love to rescue a horse if possible because it is the responsible thing to do. I am obviously going to consult a vet about how long the particular horse will need off but I would love a time line from a person experienced with ottbs.

Okay, so I’ve watched and tried some YouTube videos and they all seem easy but when I try to do it, I have to complete a survey or an offer. I’ve also downloaded some media stuff that some of the things tell me too and it still says “0/1 complete” Here’s the thing, I don’t want to complete a survey, or an offer, or anything like that. I’ve been told those mess your computer up.. I just want to be able to download the software (or whatever is it) and get my diamonds and coins. Can someone PLEASE help me do this without taking a survey or completing an offer…
