I’m going to have my birthday party soon, but i can’t decide which beach to use. I don’t want a place thats too crowded or a place too far. I looked at Venice Beach but people say that there are homeless people and dogs there. Zuma Beach is really crowded too. You have to pay at Paradise Cove. I don’t know where to go! Two of my friends and I are going to Waikiki for a friends wedding. I’ll be there for two days by myself and then my friends are joining me for five more days. Does anyone have any good tips on things to do or websites that have good deals or things to do? Also, what would be some good things for me to do by myself on my first two days there? We are staying at the Aston (the recommended hotel for wedding guests), but I was looking into staying in a different hotel my first two nights, any suggestions? Thanks!

From researching, many people say Boracay but I have read a few posts that it isn’t what it used to be. Is that true? I am looking for most beautiful beaches. Don’t care how secluded it is , just that it is not very difficult to get to. Also, how are prices in Phillipines? Are things reasonable?

It’s one of the places I haven’t seen before and one of the big reasons I’m heading out there. However, is it one of those deals where once you’ve seen the beach and the ocean, there’s not much else worthwhile? I’m taking public transporation out there by the way (unless you know of another way out there besides renting a car; i actually wouldn’t mind shelling out $20 each way if it meant I didn’t have to be in transit for 2.5 hrs).

I’m planning on having my “reception” at a luau. That being said, if you had never been to Hawaii before (most of my guests haven’t) which would you enjoy more? I’ve heard that if you have a home in a state park, you technically have a 100 year lease or something to that effect and can be kicked off at any time (because it’s a park). When I look at a map of Malibut on google maps, it’s all green, symbolizing some kind of major park. Is that the case? Was this recent? I don’t recall seeing that before.
