WiFi Password Hack V5.1

Wi-Fi is a popular technology that allows an electronic device to exchange data wirelessly (using radio waves) over a computer network, including high-speed Internet connections. The Wi-Fi Alliance defines Wi-Fi as any “wireless local area network (WLAN) products that are based on the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers’ (IEEE) 802.11 standards”.[1] However, since most modern WLANs are based on these standards, the term “Wi-Fi” is used in general English as a synonym for “WLAN”

Hello all, I’m about to apply for a masters program in Computer Networking, I would like some insight on what career path I can expect. I would love to work in some way in security (kinda like ethical hacking) but I also want the broadness that Computer networking provides rather than just specializing in Forensics/ ethical hacking. Can someone shed some light for me as to if this is possible and If getting a masters degree in networking will provide me with necessary options. Funds are not an issue :) Thanks all!

I just checked my network list and there are 3 networks listed with the name:
“Unsecured computer to computer network” What exactly is this and does this pose a threat to my computer? I’m asking because I’m not sure if my computer allows access for other users to access my computer from this type of networking. Of course, I’m not really sure if I know what I’m talking lol. Thanks.
What exactly is computer to computer networking? What are they using to access my computer? As for now, I’m not connected to that computer to computer network so I’m wondering how someone is able to connect to my computer without my permission.

There are about 10 computers networked to a server. A couple of those computers keep disconnecting. By disconnected I mean that each day it says that the network drive for the same 2 computers are disconnected.

What could cause this? Also, why would the network drives for 2 computers disconnect and not all.

To connect any local computer network, first you have to install a LAN card or wireless LAN card in your CPU of computer. Then you have to enable DHCP (If you have dynamic IP address) in your LAN card. Then you will be able to connect to the respective local computer network.

Wi-Fi has many advantages when it comes to the advancement of technology. It not only allows LANs to be organized without cabling for client devices which reducing the costs of network deployment and expansion. In 2007 wireless network adapters were built into most modern laptops. Due to this event, the price of chipsets, a group of integrated circuits that are designed to work together, for Wi-Fi were able to drop, making it an economical networking option included in ever more devices. Different competitive brands of access points and client network interfaces are inter-operable at a basic level of service. Products designated as “Wi-Fi Certified” by the Wi-Fi Alliance are backwards inter-operable. Wi-Fi is widely available in more than 250,000 public hotspots and tens of millions of homes and corporate and university campuses worldwide.

Can you please help me put all the advantages of Wi-Fi into one paragraph! (in your own words please)

    Advantages of Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi allows LANs to be deployed without cabling for client devices, typically reducing the costs of network deployment and expansion. Spaces where cables cannot be run, such as outdoor areas and historical buildings, can host wireless LANs.

As of 2007 wireless network adapters are built into most modern laptops. The price of chipsets for Wi-Fi continues to drop, making it an economical networking option included in ever more devices. Wi-Fi has become widespread in corporate infrastructures, which also helps with the deployment of RFID technology that can piggyback on Wi-Fi.[2]

Different competitive brands of access points and client network interfaces are inter-operable at a basic level of service. Products designated as “Wi-Fi Certified” by the Wi-Fi Alliance are backwards inter-operable. Wi-Fi is a global set of standards. Unlike mobile telephones, any standard Wi-Fi device will work anywhere in the world.

Wi-Fi is widely available in more than 250,000 public hotspots and tens of millions of homes and corporate and university campuses worldwide. WPA is not easily cracked if strong passwords are used and WPA2 encryption has no known weaknesses. New protocols for Quality of Service (WMM) make Wi-Fi more suitable for latency-sensitive applications (such as voice and video), and power saving mechanisms (WMM Power Save) improve battery operation.

I bought all of these parts brand new, and i put them together. Does that put them in the used category, and if so, is it even possible to break even? Consider i paid around 500 dollars for all of it. Not including the operating system.

    It comes with..

Logitech B100 Black 3 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB Wired Optical 800 dpi Mouse – OEM

LITE-ON SK-1688U/B Black 104 Normal Keys USB Wired Standard Keyboard

cirago BTA6310 Micro Bluetooth 3.0 EDR Adapter USB 2.0

and a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

The case side panels have custom paint work, all parts have been tested, and are working.

Break it to me easy if its bad news. I cry easy.

I sincerely hope this is enough information for you. :)

I have a SONY BRAVIA KDL-32L5000 and I really want to connect it to Netflix to watch movies instantly on my TV but I dont know how to connect it to the internet so I can watch movies. There is a port I discovered that was covered with a plug and above the plug it said “Service Only” but I popped it out anyways and I don’t know if it supports USB or something else.

My phone has WLAN and it connects to the the things that my home computer connected to as “WiFi” i.e. my neighbors free signal. So what is the difference, my nokia is billed as having no Wi Fi, but I can still mooch off of my neighbor. Does my neighbor have something special or can I expect to get wi fi even though I technically have WLAN.? thanks!!

I have a Linksys router and I don’t know which security mode should I select for my wireless network? WPA-Personal or WPA2-Personal? Which is more secure? Is there a difference in network speed between the two modes? Thanks!

I just bought the new HP Photosmart Premium and am trying to use it wireless. Since I use WEP for my home wireless network, the security code has to be 26 characters. But the printer won’t accept it for some reason. A WEP key code must be 26 or 10 characters. I can’t fully enter all 26 characters even though the printer clearly says that it must be a 26-character code. It stops me at 24.

Can anyone help? And please, only HIGHLY knowledgeable tech experts. Thank you very much.

Minimum 10 points of difference is required for each. (10 marks for a proper answer)

I am preparing for a final graduation exam on computer networks. I refereed to ‘Behrouz A Frouzan’s’ book on Computer Networks, but couldn’t find it helpful.
So, if someone answers, answer it point by point. Diagrams(hyperlinks) will also do.
